about

A collection of studio out-takes from the first two IK albums. Some songs on this album have never been issued before (wow, new IK songs!), and the ones that did get released officially are totally different recordings on this here album.

While these were all recorded in actual studios with actual engineers who knew what they were doing, these tracks are mostly pretty rough mixes (as they were left off their respective albums we didn't spend much time mixing tracks we felt weren't quite good enough) and none are professionally mastered - aside from me applying some minor tweaks and edits. So there are a few volume fluctuations and there may even be the occasional bit of clipping (ouch!) as we may have gone for maxxximum volume on these hasty mixes all those years ago.

If you're looking for that pro s**t you're in the wrong place, homey.

I've also updated the names of a couple of the tunes as it occurred to me I had a couple of them wrong, in case any of you care - which isn't likely I know... Just being thorough.

A glimpse at that brief moment in time at the turn of the century when it all seemed possible; through the healing wash of delay and reverb, slow songs at high volumes, stamping of the feet and staring at the ceilings.
